In this video published Tuesday July 16 as a story on his Instagram account, the rapper, broom in hand, wades in murky, brown water whose impressive flow enters a room in his house nicknamed « The Embassy ».

“It better be a Martini,” wrote in the caption, and not without humor, the 37-year-old artist, probably in reference to the Espresso Martini, a cocktail made from coffee liqueur whose color is close to brown.
A month of rain fell in four hours
Drake’s immense residence of more than 4,600 m2 is far from being the only home to have suffered from flooding in the Toronto region. In the space of 4 hours, the equivalent of a month of rain fell in Canada’s largest city. Streets were flooded and highways and metro stations were closed. Around 167,000 people were left without power, according to the city’s electricity grid operator.
More than 97 mm of precipitation was recorded at Toronto Pearson International Airport, infrastructure reported on X on Tuesday. It would be the fifth wettest day on record, CNN reported. Numerous and impressive photos and videos published on social networks show the streets of the city flooded, with many vehicles trapped.
In total, firefighters handled nearly 1,700 calls and responded to nearly 500 incidents between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Twenty people stuck in their cars or in a building had to be rescued, according to the city’s firefighters.
